What’s for Dessert? Avocado Brownies!!?!! (No Dairy, No Egg)

Bet you thought that one was a typo, haha. Nope! I totally made brownies with avocado. It is not uncommon to use avocado as a substitute in vegan recipes. Interested? Keep reading!
1 Large Avocado
Flour (Give Coconut Flour a try!)-but any kind works!
Sugar (Try Coconut Sugar)
Cocoa Powder (I used the unsweetened kind)
Milk (Coconut, Almond, or whatever type of milk you prefer)-I used coconut milk.
Walnuts/Pecans or a nut you prefer! (Totally Optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 °F .
Start by mashing the avocado until it’s all smushy and what not. Pour 3/4 cup of your chosen milk and 1/3 cup of water into a bowl with your smashed avocado. Blend all of these items together. I do not own a blender, so I used my NutriBullet! Add about 1tsp of vanilla extract!
Pour your funky green mix into a mixing bowl! Here come more ingredients!
Now, pour in 2 cups of flour, 1 3/4 cups of sugar, 3/4 cups of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of baking powder and a tiny pinch of salt. Please don’t over-do it on the salt. Mix all of the dry ingredients into the wet ones. If you opted in for using nuts, now is the time to add them.
After everything is all mixed, pour the mix into a pan. It’s time to bake!
Bake on 350° for about 15-20 minutes. Check on your brownies about 15 minutes in. Just like when baking other goods, do the toothpick test to make sure the inside is completely done. If when you do this it is not done then continue baking, but check every 2-3 minutes.
When they are done, allow them some time to cool and then enjoy! You will notice that they are not extremely sweet but they are just sweet enough to cure that sweet tooth that tends to come around when you promised you would eat healthy.
